Position Summary
  • The Electrical Apprentice / Skilled Labourer assists licensed electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. This position provides hands-on experience, skill development, and opportunities for career advancement within the electrical trade.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with electrical installations, service calls, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

  • Pull wire and install boxes, devices, lighting, and electrical equipment.

  • Load, organize, and maintain tools, equipment, and materials.

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment.

  • Follow company safety policies and industry regulations.

  • Complete assigned tasks efficiently and professionally.

  • Accurately record work performed and materials used when required.

  • Represent the company professionally with customers, suppliers, and coworkers.

Requirements

Qualifications
  • Registered Electrical Apprentice or relevant construction/skilled labour experience.

  • Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record.

  • Ability to perform physically demanding work and lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Strong work ethic, communication skills, and willingness to learn.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Experience using hand and power tools safely and effectively.

  • Apprentices are expected to successfully complete all required trade school levels and make steady progress toward obtaining their Certificate of Qualification.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Working at Heights and/or First Aid/CPR certification.

  • Experience in residential, commercial, and service electrical work is an asset

  • Experience operating lifts, ladders, and construction equipment.

  • Previous construction experience
