G2 HVAC Technician
Job Description
Lakeside Mechanical is looking for a skilled and reliable Gas Technician to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship, understands the importance of safety and compliance, and enjoys working in a hands-on environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, inspecting, and repairing gas systems and equipment while providing professional service to customers and working collaboratively with our mechanical team.
Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, maintain, and repair gas lines and equipment
- Read and interpret schematics to troubleshoot gas systems
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Respond to service calls to diagnose and resolve gas-related issues
- Collaborate with other technicians and contractors
- Test and adjust control mechanisms and check pipes for gas leaks
- Keeping daily logs and records of all maintenance functions
- Ensure compliance with appliance standards and with OHSA
- Comply with service standards, work instructions, and customer requirements
Requirements
- G2 Certicification
- Valid G Class Driver’s Licence with clean driver’s abstract
- Proven experience as a Gas Technician
- Mechanical knowledge
- Familiarity with HVAC systems and appliance repair
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
